The Science Behind Pixar Exhibition is a timed-entry exhibit. You can only enter at the time indicated on your ticket.

Average dwell time is approximately 1.5 hours for this exhibit, so please check our operational hours closely before booking your ticket.

Enjoy a unique, first-time look into the Pixar filmmaking process, and explore the science and technology behind some of the most beloved animated films and their characters.

Your ticket also includes Science Centre Admission, Science Demonstrations and shows in the Margaret Zeidler Star Theatre.

Animal Trackers (Ages 6-7)

From furs & claws to scales & tails, this camp explores them all!

You'll experience biology like never before through the tiny world of microbes using microscopes, getting up close and personal with our critters and getting your hands wet in our touch tanks!  

Exploration of the river valley at John Janzen Nature Centre will be another highlight of this camp. Come and take a walk on the wild side! 

Atoms (Ages 4-5)

Beyond the Atmosphere - Home School Program

Students will unveil the mysteries of the night sky. Engage your class in learning about stars, from their composition to stellar objects that have landed on Earth.

Students will travel to moons, other planets, and beyond as they discover some of the superstars in space.

Boats and Floats - Home School Program

What floats and what sinks? You may be surprised!

Students will help Captain Clancy Buoyancy save his treasure by building a sturdy and stable boat. Learn the basics of buoyancy and density through hands-on activities and demonstrations.

Bubble Fun - Home School Program

Watch your preschoolers become bubbling scientists!

They will use their state-of-the-art bubble making devices to investigate all the different tools used to make bubbles, the shape of bubbles, and how to make bubble art.

Bubbles big and small, they`ll make them all!

Bubble-ology - Home School Program

Bursting with fun, this program has students become bubbleologists as they create amazing bubble masterpieces.

Students will measure and compare their creations through a variety of hands-on experiments.  Each student will leave with supplies to make their own special bubble blower at home.

Build It! - Home School Program

Help the 3 little pigs escape the wolf with three building challenges. Your students will build a house, tower, and something that rolls using a variety of creative materials. Student models will be tested against the wolf in our custom designed testing area.

Call the Electrician - Home School Program

Bring your aspiring electricians to learn how to wire a house!

They'll rig up a doorbell, master a three-way switch, and set a burglar alarm as they investigate the nature of electricity and circuits

Cars 3: An IMAX Experience

Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast cars, the legendary Lighting McQueen finds himself pushed out of the sport that he loves. Hoping to get back in the game, he turns to Cruz Ramirez, an eager young technician who has her own plans for winning. Cauldron Brew - Home School Program

Join us in our Science Lab for hands-on chemistry.

Your students will investigate particle reactions as they work through four different chemistry experiments. Learn how to make a glow stick brighter and how to create the bounciest polymer. Experience all this and more as we experiment with chemistry and particles.

Laboratory Safety: For the safety of all participants in our science laboratory, all students must wear long pants and closed shoes while participating in TELUS World of Science Lab Programs. Please, no skirts, shorts or sandals.

Chem Squad! - Home School Program

There has been a hazardous chemical spill at TELUS World of Science!

Your class will be members of an emergency response team brought in to test the mystery chemicals. Students must determine the physical and chemical properties to identify the mystery spill before it is too late!

Chilling Out - Home School Program

How do polar bears stay warm and toasty?

Students will explore the ins and outs of insulation, experiment with hot and cold chemical reactions, measure temperature, and make a very cool treat using liquid nitrogen in this chilling program.

Allergy Note: Dairy products, sugar, and products contacting gluten are used during this program. Dairy alternative available upon request.

Cold Factor - Home School Program

Winter is a big part of our life in Canada but we need to be prepared for it!

Students will explore, through station activities, ways in which humans, plants and animals prepare themselves for cold weather. Also, see how changes of the seasons affect planets, animals, and us!

Colours, Colours - Home School Program

What is your favourite primary colour? Do you know the colours of the spectrum?

Students will get to experiment with mixing and separating colours, using both lights and paints that will dazzle their eyes. Explore this amazing world in-depth during this very colourful program.

Come Fly With Me - Home School Program

This program has been taken to new heights!

Students will experiment with how and why things fly. Join them as they get involved in hands-on activities which explore lift, drag, and aerodynamics. Each student will build an airplane to take back to school.

Creepy Crawlies - Home School Program

Come and visit our creepy, crawly creatures!

Your students will observe the parts and characteristics of insects and other critters. Come play with bugs, make an insect craft,and interacting with our living creepy crawlies!

DARK MATTERS + The Science Behind Pixar Exhibition

Dark Matters is an 18+ event. You may be asked to show photo ID.

No children under the age of 18 will permitted in the science centre during Dark Matters events.

Combo includes one ticket to Dark Matters and one ticket for The Science Behind Pixar Exhibition on the same evening.
