Summer Camps

Please Note: Atoms is a 3 hour, half day camp.

KinderScience Camps are geared toward children going into kindergarten in the fall of 2023.

Campers will make BIG discoveries as they create amazing masterpieces, visit CuriousCity, watch a star show in the Zeidler Dome, and get their hands on some spectacular science. Each of our half-day camps follow a different theme, so you can send your curious Kinders to all four!

Themes: Colours, Robots, Birds, Chemistry and Sound

While using a variety of technology, campers will learn coding language and skills as they solve puzzles, make items move, program robots, and even design a video game. Discover how coding makes our everyday life easier, helps in healthcare, and how it is used in the running of our science centre!

No experience is necessary to take part in our coding camps, except for our *new* Coding Bootcamp  Advanced (Grades 8-10).

Campers will see one Zeidler Dome show, one IMAX film and one science demonstration over the course of the week.

Use awesome tools to build creative contraptions, test your ideas, and design fun gadgets - some of them you get to take home. Design tall towers, take part in LEGO building challenges, experiment with a variety of materials, and solve problems using the engineering design process.

Campers will see one Zeidler Dome show, one IMAX film and one science demonstration over the course of the week.

Do you have what it takes to be an astronaut? Find out in these brand-new camps that take place in the historical Queen Elizabeth Planetarium! Astronaut trainees will traverse the solar system by viewing telescopes, watching live star shows, and other hands-on experiments and activities. Campers will take part in astronaut training sessions, build tools to help solve common problems of space travel, and participate in space challenges.

Please note - Space Campers will be dropped off and picked up at the Science Centre, then travel to and from the Queen Elizabeth Planetarium together. Drop off and pick up will not be at the Queen Elizabeth Planetarium.
