Alberta's Roar-some Dinosaurs (Ages 6-8)

Travel back in time to when Alberta was home to incredible prehistoric creatures! You may know about Albertasuarus, but in this camp you will dig deeper into the province's fascinating dinosaur history through interactive games and hands on activities.

Brainiacs (Ages 9-11)

Are you a Science Brainiac? Then this camp is for you! Engage in all aspects of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math in this interactive camp. Campers will participate in a variety of instructor lead and independent challenges that will span many facets of STEAM.

Coding for Kids (Ages 6-8)

Campers will learn the basics of coding and video game design through hands on activities, games, play and the use of technology. At the end of the week, campers will have the first building blocks of their very own video game that they can continue to create on their own. Campers may require some adult assistance with this camp. *Please note the specific technology needed to participate in this camp.

Coding 1.0 (Ages 9-11)

This camp offers gamers the ultimate challenge: design and construct your own video games!

Campers learn the basics including creating levels, adding characters, objects, behaviours, and sounds. They will be able to access their game online and continue improving it after camp is over. When campers aren't working on games of their own, our instructors will provide game-based challenges using Minecraft EDU software.

Coding 2.0 (Ages 10-14)

This camp offers gamers the ultimate challenge: design and construct a video game using Scratch programming!

Campers will dive deep into game creation including creating advanced levels, adding characters, objects, behaviours, and sounds. They will be able to access their game online and continue improving it after camp is over. When campers aren t working on games of their own, our instructors will provide game-based challenges using Minecraft EDU software.

 

Girls Who Code (Ages 10-14)

Learn about video game design and coding in this camp specifically aimed at girls! This fun, interactive, and engaging camp was designed by girls for girls.

Full of STEAM (Ages 6-8)

Dabble in chemistry, take on a building challenge, and create fun art in this camp that touches on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Campers will participate in a variety of instructor lead and independent challenges that will span many facets of STEAM.

Greetings Earthlings! (Ages 6-8)

You are an alien from another galaxy and your ship has just crash-landed on Earth! You are now on a mission to find out more about this little blue planet and the beings who live on it.

Your Human Guide will introduce you to this planet through virtual games, teach you ways to communicate with Earthlings, help you share stories about your home planet, and encourage you to do some star gazing.

House Hackers (Ages 6-8)

If you can dream it, you can build it!

The best way to discover is to design, create, and build using stuff you can find around your home! Use awesome tools to test your ideas, build creative contraptions, and complete daily design challenges. You'll finish this camp with new maker skills and a passion for creation!

Mars Mission (Ages 9-11)

Do you have what it takes to survive on Mars?

As part of the first team of humans to live on Mars you must work to ensure that you can survive and thrive on this strange planet. Each day Mission Control will assign you a new task in science, technology, engineering and math. Complete these tasks to earn food, water and oxygen for your colony on Mars.

Whether you live in the city or the country, backyards in Alberta are filled with all sorts of natural wonders! Join us Right in your Own Backyard as we escape our houses and explore nature. Take virtual tours of outdoor spaces around Alberta, be challenged by virtual nature scavenger hunts, enjoy virtual visits with our animal ambassadors, and create objects that will attract new life to your own backyard.
