Robotics Lab - Home School Program (Grade 8)

Your students will experience machines on a whole different level with our new EV3 robots. Our LEGO® MINDSTORMS CENTER will have students working through a series of challenges as they learn how to program their robot.

Students will use sound sensors, light sensors, and many more to finish tasks and beat our obstacle courses.

Come experience the next generation of LEGO® robots!

Touch the Stars 3D

Touch the Stars centers on mankind's probes used in exploration of our solar system and the galaxy beyond. The film traces the path to space through the history of NASA's probes, orbiters, and landers, from the heart of our solar system to the surface of the other planets and moons, to the grand tour of the Voyager spacecraft through the outer planets and beyond. Created with the latest imagery and scientific data,Touch the Stars uses inspiring real footage and three-dimensional vistas of our solar system and interstellar space to transport audiences to planets and distant stars alongside these intrepid robot explorers.

Exploration Generation - Home School Program (Grade 9)

Come and learn more about how we can explore the universe without ever leaving Earth!

Students will be engaged in problem-solving and hands-on activities to give them a better understanding of the challenges involved in space travel. Discover space theories from the past and technologies that have helped us overcome the challenge of space travel, as well as what new challenges we face on our way to Mars and beyond!

Jr. Makers (Age 9-12)

Your little Makers will spend some time in the Science Garage creating vehicles that move, crafts that hover, and structures that can withstand an earthquake.

Mission S.P.A.C.E. - Home School Program (Grade 9)

Start in our Command Centre and work your way through gravitational fields, planetary bodies, and space tech in this hands-on, student-driven gallery experience.

Power Up! - Home School Program (Grade 9)

Circuit boards and glowing pickles will keep your students absorbed in this charged program!

They will investigate circuitry, the rules of electrical flow, and the creation of alternate energy. Multimeters and other electrical devices are used by the students as they learn what sparks electricity!

The Ultimate Wave Tahiti 2D

The Ultimate Wave Tahiti is an extreme blend of surfing and ocean science, starring nine-time world surfing champion, Kelly Slater. This is the first IMAX® film to explain wave science as it visually illustrates how waves form and where they derive their energy. Find out how they become great breaking waves pummeling coastlines or barrel wave formations surfers love to ride. From outstanding surfing action to the chaos of ocean storms, the film will lead students on a quest to understand the science behind one of this planet s most intriguing and dramatic phenomena.

Animal Trackers (Age 6-9)

From furs & claws to scales & tails, your little tracker will experience animals like never before by getting up close and personal with some of our resident critters! Come and take a walk on the wild side!

Global Soundscapes

Welcome to the Journey of Global Soundscapes: The Mission to Record the Earth!

In this live, interactive IMAX presentation, you will learn all about soundscape ecology, tools that scientists use to record and analyze sounds and why recording the sounds of the Earth is important to understand the health and biodiversity of our world.

Make + Take - Homeschool Edition: Learn to Solder

Learn to Solder Electronics!

Students will get a lesson in soldering components working on their very own electronic circuit board project. There are a variety of electronic projects to choose that range from making a USB charger, to an LED Volume Meter or a digital clock and more! Some projects may take more time than others, but the workshop will be available to enrolled students until the end of the day.

Make + Take - Homeschool Edition: Power Tools!

Learn skills that will last a lifetime! With guidance from the Science Garage team, students will use a variety of materials and tools to build a their own candy dispenser. We will go over safety, tool techniques and how to choose the right tool for the job.
