Visit different galleries and learning spaces for exciting drop-in programming.

Engage in hands-on activities, such as building a harmonica and learning about soundwaves.

Prepare to meet some of the ocean's strangest & most spectacular creatures in Secrets of the Sea, a new film in IMAX! From adorable pygmy seahorses and opalescent squid to manta rays, tiger sharks, barnacle blennies, a coconut octopus, and much more. The film takes you face-to-face with an astonishing array of marine critters and shows the fascinating ways they interact with each other and their environment. Filmed in more than 14 spectacular locations around the world  from the Philippines, Mexico and Tahiti to Indonesia, the Galapagos, Hawaii, and others  Secrets of the Sea reveals the many wonders of our ocean world and demonstrates the critical importance of marine biodiversity to keeping our oceans healthy.

Join us for STEM-apalooza, in celebration of International Day for Women and Girls in Science (2025). We will celebrate gender diversity in STEM fields and empower everyone to engage with science, technology, engineering and math. Admission includes a showing of "Jane Goodall: Reasons for Hope" followed by a Q & A with local Ecologist Jessica Haines.

In addition to the film, you will have an opportunity to explore science center galleries, participate in science programming, and get the chance to meet local scientists!

Beautiful, delicate yet unbelievably resilient, the butterfly is one of nature’s most enigmatic creatures. A story of adaptation and survival, we follow the vast migrations of the Blue Tigers of Australia and the Monarchs of North America and Mexico.

With the help of cutting edge slow-motion, drone and macro filming techniques, we see the butterflies’ tiny world in immaculate detail as they overcome the challenges of metamorphosis and migration, fly thousands of kilometers and as high as 3300 meters.
