Mission SPACE (Ages 10-12)

Ground control to Lunar Lander! Your mission: Discover the landing code and successfully land on the moon!

In this 45-minute program, students will explore the SPACE Gallery to complete challenges and puzzles and uncover the landing code they need to land on the moon. This student-driven gallery experience will give your students the opportunity to review the SPACE Unit in a fun, hands-on interaction with thee SPACE Gallery.

Students will enjoy a curriculum-based nature walk, journal their observations and learnings, spend time in theNature Exchangeidentifying rocks, pinecones, seashells and other trinkets found in the great outdoors. Observe, wonder and reflect on Edmonton's rich natural spaces.

Robots 3D

Today's robots are nothing short of astonishing. Those coming in the not-too-distant future are simply revolutionary and they are becoming eerily like us. ROBOTS 3D is a sneak peek into the future at what might be possible as scientists use innovative engineering and design to make cyber characters less "humanoid" and more just plain human. Robot "actor" RoboThespian will introduce you to CHIMP, ATLAS, PR-2, Herb the Butler, ICUB, and others as he takes you on an amazing tour of what's going on in robotics labs around the world.

Science on Tap: Screen Time in Schools

Join us at Science on Tap: Screen Time in Schools in the Zeidler Dome for an in-depth discussion on the new policy banning personal electronic devices during class time. Presented by the Edmonton Space & Science Foundation Programming Committee, this event will have you engaging with expert panelists and participating in a lively Q&A session to explore the pros and cons of reducing screen time in classrooms.

Secrets of the Sea 3D

Prepare to meet some of the ocean's strangest & most spectacular creatures in Secrets of the Sea, a new film in IMAX! From adorable pygmy seahorses and opalescent squid to manta rays, tiger sharks, barnacle blennies, a coconut octopus, and much more. The film takes you face-to-face with an astonishing array of marine critters and shows the fascinating ways they interact with each other and their environment.
