An entire generation came of age with the indescribable awe of landing on the Moon — and the ensuing Golden Age of Space has changed our world forever for the better. More than 50 years later, what is the next step for humankind? A second golden age of space has quietly dawned on us, with new hope for humanity as a spacefaring species.

Beautiful, delicate yet unbelievably resilient, the butterfly is one of nature's most enigmatic creatures. A story of adaptation and survival, we follow the vast migrations of the Blue Tigers of Australia and the Monarchs of North America and Mexico.

With the help of cutting edge slow-motion, drone and macro filming techniques, we see the butterflies tiny world in immaculate detail as they overcome the challenges of metamorphosis and migration, fly thousands of kilometers and as high as 3300 meters. Butterfly Journey reveals our interconnected and awe-inspiring world on the giant screen, through the eyes of the butterflies. IMAX Theatre Talks are included with Science is Dope Admission

Sila Littlechild is a member of the Ermineskin Cree Nation, a survivor of both the 60’s Scoop and Indian Residential School. Sila will be discussing her yearly harvesting events on her late sister’s land in Maskwacis and the medicinal teas she has created by forging these medicines. She will also be providing a step-by-step creation of one of her medicinal teas which has health benefits along with a lovely fragrance and yummy taste! After her talk, Sila’s Traditional Teas will available for purchase outside of the IMAX Theatre.
