Hamnet

Hamnet is a historical drama from Chloé Zhao that reimagines the love, loss, and grief of Agnes and William Shakespeare after the death of their son, exploring how this tragedy may have inspired Hamlet. Lyrical cinematography, Max Richter s score, and standout performances by Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal make it a slow-burning but deeply moving portrayal of love, grief, and the healing power of art. Widely acclaimed, it s considered one of 2025 s most emotional films.
