Eco Explorers (Grades 3-4)

This is a TWO-Day Camp

Join us for an exciting adventure in the natural world! Eco Explorers is a hands-on science camp where young nature enthusiasts in grades three and four will discover how humans and wildlife coexist in urban environments. Campers will explore the local park, investigate urban ecosystems, and uncover how animals and plants adapt to city life. Through engaging activities and outdoor exploration, they'll learn how their actions impact the environment and what they can do to help protect it. Eco Explorers is the perfect blend of science, nature, and fun!

*Campers must be prepared with proper winter gear to go outside each day, weather permitting. Campers will go outside if the temperature stays above -23 degrees Celsius. If it is too cold, alternative indoor activities will replace outdoor ones.

Campers in Cool Creators will explore the intersection of art and science. Through color, art, and the design process, campers will discover science from a different perspective. Cool Creators is for curious campers who love to express themselves artistically.

Jr. Scientists (Grades 3-4)

In Jr. Scientists, campers will dive into a multitude of STEAM disciplines, where they will participate in exciting chemistry activities, take part in programming challenges, and use the scientific method to experiment in a variety of ways.

Science Tots - Sunday Sessions

The love of science starts early! Join us for an 8 week class full of engaging science for young children in a supportive and exploratory environment. Through storybooks, songs, hands-on activities, and full-body play we will learn about the science that surrounds us while strengthening science literacy and motor skills. Children and their caregivers will play and learn together as they discover dinosaurs, explore nature, blast-off to outer space, and more!

Highlights:

Each week is themed around a different science concept including: engineering, dinosaurs, colours, health, animals, and more!

Each class concludes with ample time for free play exploration with our themed science experiences

Science Tots includes access to our galleries so you and your child can play in CuriousCITY or watch a Zeidler Dome show after class

The sessions on Sundays and Wednesdays are the same. Please do not register your tot for both days. When registering for a Sunday session, you must select a time, and then remain in the same time throughout the sessions.

For Members registering their tot, please use the name of ONE adult on the membership to book a spot. You will be prompted later for the name of the tot as the registrant.

FAQs:

Do I have to attend the class with my child?

Yes. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. Please do not bring unregistered siblings to the class. However, infants under 12 months old are welcome to join with their older sibling and caregiver if needed.

What is the cancellation policy?

To request a refund for cancellation of the registered program, please send a written email request at least 21 days before the program's start date. Refunds or transfers will not be provided if the notice is given less than 21 days before the program's start date. Please note that a $15 administration fee will be deducted from all refunds. STEAM Girls (Grades 5-7)

Discover, create, and innovate in STEAM Girls, a hands-on science and technology camp designed just for girls entering Grades 5, 6 and 7! In this supportive, girls-only environment, campers will explore exciting STEM topics through engaging experiments, creative challenges, and collaborative projects. From engineering and coding to fun scientific investigations, STEAM Girls helps young innovators build confidence, spark curiosity, and have a blast learning together.

*This camp will take place in the Queen Elizabeth Planetarium located East of the science centre in Coronation Park. Campers will travel to and from this location to take part in lunch, IMAX and Zeidler Dome shows, demo stage shows, and gallery exploration inside the science centre. Drop-off and pick-up will still take place at the Telus World of Science. *

These full day camps are geared towards campers who have completed Kindergarten and will be attending either Grade 5, 6 or 7 in the fall of 2026 (born in 2014, 2015 or 2016). In addition to themed camp activities, campers will explore the galleries, see an IMAX film, experience a star show in the Zeidler Dome Theatre, and watch a live science demonstration.

 

Science Camp Leaders in Training

Registrants must be 13 years old by July 1, 2026, to participate in this program.

Are you a young individual between the ages of 13 and 17, who is interested in science and looking to discover your potential as a future leader? If so, our Science Camp Leaders in Training program is the perfect opportunity for you!

The Science Camp Leaders in Training program is designed to empower and educate young individuals while working in a safe and supported environment. Participants will gain valuable knowledge and skills while exploring science topics and working with children in summer camps that will benefit their personal growth and prepare them to excel in future leadership roles. Develop skills, meet new people, and have fun in science camps!

Have you already completed Leaders in Training and are now looking for more?

Join us for another week at Level 2!

After completing Leaders in Training Level 1, participants will unlock additional opportunities for growth and learning. Acting as a role model for peers and camp children, Level 2 Leaders will showcase an understanding of their own leadership potential. In Level 2, participants will also practice science communication and presentation techniques. Discover the traits that make you a great leader and put new skills to the test as you enjoy the fun of science camps!

For Level 2, register in this course as well, and our team will put you in the correct group/level.

The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring

The future of civilization rests in the fate of the One Ring, which has been lost for centuries. Powerful forces are unrelenting in their search for it. My Neighbor Totoro (1988)

Ponyo (2008)

The Thing (1982)

In remote Antarctica, a group of American research scientists are disturbed at their base camp by a helicopter shooting at a sled dog.
