With the help of cutting edge slow-motion, drone and macro filming techniques, we see the butterflies tiny world in immaculate detail as they overcome the challenges of metamorphosis and migration, fly thousands of kilometers and as high as 3300 meters. Butterfly Journey reveals our interconnected and awe-inspiring world on the giant screen, through the eyes of the butterflies. Yet what fate awaits them when the fine-tuned climates they intimately know suddenly shift?

DARK MATTERS: Science is Dope is serving up the mind-blowing science behind highs, vices, and brain chemistry—not mind-altering substances. Join Little Foot and her elephant family as they brave the harsh Namib Desert in Southwest Africa and embark on a journey to an oasis that remains green even through the toughest times. The resilience and familial strength of this species will leave viewers with an inspiring example of survival, adaptation and renewed hope. In the southwest corner of Africa, the Namib Desert -- one of the driest places on Earth -- is an unexpected haven for a few extraordinary creatures, including the largest land mammals on the planet -- desert elephants. These elephants, once more than a million strong, have dwindled to a few hundred; despite this, hope lives on through an elephant calf named Little Foot, the newest member of a family of grazers. As viewers follow Little Foot's adventures, they witness the incredible abilities elephants possess that have helped them survive the harsh conditions of the Namib Desert for generations. From foreseeing sandstorms to finding underground aquifers, this film offers an inspiring example of survival, adaptation and renewed hope.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Steven Spielberg's gut-wrenching adventure-horror thriller has lost none of its ability to keep audiences on the edge of their seats and swimmers out of the water. Greatly aided by Verna Fields' razor-sharp editing and John Williams’ portentous minimalist theme, Spielberg combines drive-in attraction and masterful suspense.

When a young woman is killed by a shark while skinny-dipping near the New England tourist town of Amity Island, police chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) wants to close the beaches, but mayor Larry Vaughn (Murray Hamilton) overrules him, fearing that the loss of tourist revenue will cripple the town. Ichthyologist Matt Hooper (Richard Dreyfuss) and grizzled ship captain Quint (Robert Shaw) offer to help Brody capture the killer beast, and the trio engage in an epic battle of man vs. nature.

Penguins live in Antarctica, right? Well yes...but if you know where to look, you'll find them waddling around in Africa, too, and even squawking in Australia! They're graceful and majestic, until they get on land. That's when they need our help. From the noisy colony of Jackass penguins in Boulder Beach, South Africa, to the world's smallest (and cutest) penguins down under, this is a tale of two adorable families and their unexpected protectors, be it the human kind or four legged friend. We'll follow one penguin chick from each population, Australian and African, on their lifelong journeys from hatchling to hero, as they waddle, hop and belly flop their way to adulthood, looking for love and forming their own penguin families.

STEMapalooza is a party for International Day of Women and Girls in Science on February 11! Explore the main floor galleries, enjoy thrilling hands-on science activities, and meet amazing local women in STEM. Plus, catch a cool IMAX documentary and Q & A with a guest expert! Experience an inspiring evening celebrating the achievements of women in science and the endless possibilities within STEM fields.

Spark imagination and curiosity in Tech Tinkerers, where campers will take apart, build, and experiment with a variety of tech-inspired tools and activities. From simple circuits and gadgets to creative problem-solving challenges, it’s the perfect camp for kids who love to tinker!

These full day camps are geared towards campers who have completed Kindergarten and will be attending either Grade 1 or Grade 2 in the fall of 2026 (born in 2019 or 2020). In addition to themed camp activities, campers will explore the galleries, see an IMAX film, experience a star show in the Zeidler Dome Theatre, and watch a live science demonstration.

Wild Wonders is an exciting nature-focused camp where campers will immerse themselves in the beauty of the natural world. Campers may get a microscopic look at plants and animals and learn how they can be a champion to nature in their own backyard.
