This feature-length documentary pays tribute to CBQM, the radio station that operates out of Fort McPherson, a small town about 150 km north of the Arctic Circle in the Canadian Northwest Territories. Through storytelling and old-time country music, filmmaker and long-time listener Dennis Allen crafts a nuanced portrait of the "Moccasin Telegraph," the radio station that is a pillar of local identity and pride in this lively northern Teetl'it Gwich'in community of 800 souls.

Do you have a Curious Kid? A child who asks questions from morning till night? Put their curiosity to good use in this exciting camp! Campers will experience thrills, chills and spills as they investigate chemistry, biology, engineering and math! Campers will get to build and test a flying machine, and get messy in this science camp for everyone. 

Curious Kids will discover many aspects of STEAM in these fun general science camps. Each camp will be a little bit different and could include activities and experiments in chemistry, coding, nature, and space.

In addition to these activities, each camp will visit the Feature Gallery, see a movie in the IMAX theatre or watch a presentation in the Zeidler Dome during the camp.

We’re turning the science centre into a Giant Makerspace where Edmonton’s most creative and innovative thinkers will show off their amazing skills and astonishing inventions. You’ll even have an opportunity to try your hand at the fun – sew let’s get crafty and start building!

Dinosaurs of Antarctica 3D

The first original large-format dinosaur film in over a decade, Dinosaurs of Antarctica will introduce audiences to the amazing and bizarre prehistoric creatures that inhabited Antarctic forests and swamps hundreds of millions of years ago. With major support provided by the National Science Foundation, the film follows a team of paleoecologists on a quest to understand the southern continent's profound transformation, from a warm and bio-diverse Mesozoic to the frozen desert we know today.
