How do polar bears stay warm and toasty?

Students will explore the ins and outs of insulation, experiment with hot and cold chemical reactions, measure temperature, and make a very cool treat using liquid nitrogen in this chilling program.

Allergy Note: Dairy products, sugar, and products contacting gluten are used during this program. Dairy alternative available upon request.

Colours, Colours - Home School Program

What is your favourite primary colour? Do you know the colours of the spectrum?

Students will get to experiment with mixing and separating colours, using both lights and paints that will dazzle their eyes. Explore this amazing world in-depth during this very colourful program.

Pass includes access to Mythbusters: The Explosive Exhibition and Science Centre all day access to all permanent galleries, science experiments, and daytime shows in the Zeidler Dome.

 

The Discovery Channel's Emmy-nominated series comes to life to uncover truths behind popular myths, by mixing scientific method with gleeful curiosity and old- fashioned ingenuity in MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition.

Guests will learn about myths, the MythBusters and what experimenting is all about, by participating in a series of exciting, hands-on experiences.

Science Centre Admission, including Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes

Featuring over 300 artifacts, including some of Marvel s most iconic and sought-after pages, costumes, and props.  The exhibition chronicles the story of Marvel and its influence on visual culture, while also uncovering the narratives of individual characters such as Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Doctor Strange.

Your ticket includes Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes, Science Centre Admission, Live Science Experiments, and shows in the Zeidler Dome.

Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes is a timed-entry exhibit. You can enter only at the time indicated on your ticket.

Average viewing time for the exhibit is approximately 1.5 hours, so please check our operational hours closely before booking your ticket.

Come Fly With Me - Home School Program

This program has been taken to new heights!

Students will experiment with how and why things fly. Join them as they get involved in hands-on activities which explore lift, drag, and aerodynamics. Each student will build an airplane to take back to school.

DARK MATTERS: Science of Drugs

Dark Matters is open to guests ages 18 and older.

You will be asked to show government issued photo identification. Individuals without proper ID will be denied access.

No children under the age of 18 will permitted in the science centre during Dark Matters events.

Dino Diggers (Ages 6-7)

Does your child have a knack for remembering very complicated dinosaur names? Do they want to be a paleontologist when they grow up? Then this is the camp for them! Dino Diggers will use paleontological skills to uncover dinosaur fossils, eggs, and bones. As campers learn about the different periods in which dinosaurs ruled, they will explore how dinosaurs walked, how big they were, and get to invent their own dinosaur.

Electric Car Garage - Home School Program

Please note: $4.00 surcharge added to this program for car kit.

Transform your class into mechanics, electricians, and car designers as they construct a fully functioning electric car to take back to school. They will have the opportunity to perform simple circuit problem-solving, and race against their friends!

Exploration Generation - Home School Program

Come and learn more about how we can explore the universe without ever leaving Earth!

Students will be engaged in problem-solving and hands-on activities to give them a better understanding of the challenges involved in space travel. Discover space theories from the past and technologies that have helped us overcome the challenge of space travel, as well as what new challenges we face on our way to Mars and beyond!

Fabulous Five Senses - Home School Program

How do we learn about the world around us? By using our senses!

In this program, students will explore and examine their senses through activities and experiments at stations, then come together for a tasty treat!

Feel the pull...or the push! In this hands-on program, students will use various materials to investigate different types of magnets, their strengths and discover the forces of attraction and repulsion.

First Man: The IMAX Experience

First Man, the riveting story of NASA s mission to land a man on the moon, focusing on Neil Armstrong and the years 1961-1969. A visceral, first-person account, based on the book by James R. Hansen, the movie will explore the sacrifices and the cost on Armstrong and on the nation of one of the most dangerous missions in history.

If you can dream it, you can build it! The best way to discover is to design, create, and build in The Science Garage this summer. Use awesome tools to test your ideas, build creative contraptions, and make useful gadgets to bring home. You'll finish this camp with new maker skills and a passion for creation!
