In this investigative program, your students will take a closer look at what makes up the world around us! Using real scientific tools and processes, students will explore the 3 states of matter and discover how one state can change to another. As a finale, students will enjoy a sweet treat using a powerful secret ingredient.

Action Heroes! (Ages 9-12)

Your children will discover what it takes to be an action hero in this fast paced camp!

Campers will get to enhance their super human abilities as they train for Action Hero Challenges, meet some animals with amazing adaptations, and test their engineering skills as they build a rocket to be launched during the week.  Campers will do all of this while earning Action Badges.

 

Beavers 2D: The Director's Cut

Beavers explores the life and rich acquatic habitat of one of nature's greatest engineers. Set in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, the film follows the story of a family of beavers as they grow, play and transform the world around them in magical imagery. Lyrical and humourous, Beavers captures as never before the perfomrance of these gifted builders and the majesty of their habitat.

It's Not Dirt - Home School Program (Grade 4)

Lockbox Logic 2.0 - Home School Program (Grade 4)

Following instructions is an important part of everyday life, from making cookies and building with LEGO to computer coding. This program offers the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of algorithms, debugging, loops, and pattern analysis. Your students will put newfound skills to use to open a locked puzzle box.

MAMIL

MAMIL is an acronym for Middle-Aged Men in Lycra. We follow several middle-aged men in Australia who take up bicycling. We see what they go through as they pursue their newfound love, including running into angry drivers, having accidents that land them in the hospital, and having to deal with neglected wives.

Take a journey to the rainforest where you have a bug's eye view of a caterpillar and a praying mantis, along with many other creepy crawlies.  Your students will be amazed by this giant bug experience, looking at the different insect species and how they interact.

They'll rig up a doorbell, master a three-way switch, and set a burglar alarm as they investigate the nature of electricity and circuits

Cauldron Brew - Home School Program (Grade 5)

Join us in our Science Lab for hands-on chemistry.

Your students will investigate particle reactions as they work through four different chemistry experiments. Learn how to make a glow stick brighter and how to create the bounciest polymer. Experience all this and more as we experiment with chemistry and particles.

Laboratory Safety: For the safety of all participants in our science laboratory, all students must wear long pants and closed shoes while participating in TELUS World of Science Lab Programs. Please, no skirts, shorts or sandals.

Chem Squad! - Home School Program (Grade 5)

There has been a hazardous chemical spill at TELUS World of Science!

Your class will be members of an emergency response team brought in to test the mystery chemicals. Students must determine the physical and chemical properties to identify the mystery spill before it is too late!

Electric Car Garage - Home School Program (Grade 5)

Please note: $4.00 surcharge added to this program for car kit.

Transform your class into mechanics, electricians, and car designers as they construct a fully functioning electric car to take back to school. They will have the opportunity to perform simple circuit problem-solving, and race against their friends!
