Gadgets & Gizmos (Ages 8-9)

If you can dream it, you can build it! The best way to discover is to design, create, and build in The Science Garage this summer. Use awesome tools to test your ideas, build creative contraptions, and make useful gadgets to bring home. You'll finish this camp with new maker skills and a passion for creation!

Galapagos: Nature's Wonderland 3D

In the vastness of the Pacific Ocean, there is a paradise unlike any other: the Galapagos archipelago. Amongst these fascinating and remote volcanic islands, life has played out over millions of years in relative isolation. The result is a wonderland of nature, with a remarkable collection of plants and charismatic animals that have all adapted to this unique environment.

Gamecraft 1.0 (Ages 10-12)

This camp offers gamers the ultimate challenge; design and construct a video game using Scratch programming! Campers learn the basics including creating levels, adding characters, objects, behaviours, and sounds. They will be able to access their game online and continue improving it after camp is over. When campers aren't working on games of their own, our instructors will provide game-based challenges using Minecraft EDU software.

NOTE: Students will need to bring their own headphones.

Your little Makers will spend some time in the Science Garage creating vehicles that move, crafts that hover, and structures that can withstand an earthquake.

Junior Scientists (Ages 6-7)

Campers will experience thrills, chills and spills in this introduction to Chemistry, Biology, Engineering and Math! Campers will get their hands on science as they investigate the world of coding, build and launch a real rocket, and challenge themselves to create a model roller coaster. Get ready Jr. Scientists - it's time to report for duty!

Kit Hacking (Ages 8 to 9)

NEW CAMP!!!

Pre-packaged science kits are everywhere. But what happens when we don't follow the instructions? In this camp, your curious kid will get to deconstruct a variety of science kits and investigate the results when their imaginations and creativity take over. If your budding scientist likes to follow their intuition rather than instructions, this is the camp for them.

 

Ladies Night: Girls Trip

This event is Adults Only. You may be asked to show ID.

Doors at 6pm.

Four best friends, known as the Flossy Posse, have grown apart over the years. Yet when one of the friends is offered an opportunity to be a keynote speaker at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans, she decides to bring along her friends to turn her work vacation into a girl's trip.
