As the first-ever giant screen film to explore the Chesapeake Bay and its watershed, Expedition Chesapeake will take you on a stunning visual journey from New York to Virginia with Emmy Award-winning expedition leader Jeff Corwin. You ll meet animals and people calling this watershed home and learn more about the issues facing the United States  largest estuary.

Over 17 million people live within the Chesapeake Bay Watershed, and enjoy the diversity and beauty of its wildlife and environment. From giant hellbenders in shaded mountain streams to ospreys gliding high over the lower reaches of the Bay, Expedition Chesapeake will forever change the way you look at the watershed and species that call it home.

Developed in partnership with a team of world-class scientists, educators, and conservationists, this powerful and immersive film encourages audiences to appreciate the value of watersheds around the world. Expedition Chesapeake educates and inspires us to take the necessary steps to support long-term conservation efforts within our communities and fight for the future of the watershed our own backyard.

 

Gamecasting (Age 9-12)

Is your child passionate about video games and video production? Learn the basics of capturing video, creating storylines, and engineering audio and video to create the same kind of fun, engaging content that you love. By the end of this camp, you ll understand the fundamentals that go into creating high quality video content, as well as understanding good digital citizenship.

Journey to the South Pacific 2D

Narrated by Academy Award® winner Cate Blanchett, Journey to the South Pacific will take moviegoers on a breathtaking IMAX® 3D adventure to the lush tropical islands of remote West Papua, where life flourishes above and below the sea.

Join Jawi, a young island boy, as he takes us on a journey of discovery to this magical place where we encounter whale sharks, sea turtles, manta rays, and other iconic creatures of the sea. Home to more than 2,000 species of sea life, this exotic locale features the most diverse marine ecosystem on earth. An uplifting story of hope and celebration, Journey to the South Pacific highlights the importance of living in balance with the ocean planet we all call home.

Robotics Lab - Home School Program (Grade 5)

Your students will experience machines on a whole different level with our new EV3 robots. Our LEGO® MINDSTORMS CENTER will have students working through a series of challenges as they learn how to program their robot.

Students will use sound sensors, light sensors, and many more to finish tasks and beat our obstacle courses.

Backyard Wilderness will surprise and entertain viewers with the unexpected wonders of nature that are right under our noses - in our own backyards. Spanning a seasonal year around a suburban home, the film displays a stunning array of unique wildlife images and behavior - all captured by cameras mounted inside dens and nests, and moving along the forest floor and pond bottom, to reveal its inhabitants in rare and breathtaking intimacy. 

 

Space Station 2D

Join the international crew of the International Space Station (ISS) as they blast off to carry space station components up into orbit.  Watch the Canadarm being used in a variety of tasks.

Includes appearances by Canadian Space Agency Astronaut Chris Hadfield as Canada plays a control role in the ISS.

Students will unveil the mysteries of the night sky. Engage your class in learning about stars, from their composition to stellar objects that have landed on Earth.

Students will travel to moons, other planets, and beyond as they discover some of the superstars in space.

Come Fly With Me - Home School Program (Grade 6)

This program has been taken to new heights!

Students will experiment with how and why things fly. Join them as they get involved in hands-on activities which explore lift, drag, and aerodynamics. Each student will build an airplane to take back to school.

Grade 6 Forensic Lab - Home School Program

This true-to-life forensics lab program was developed in partnership with the RCMP.

Experiment alongside your students as they explore chromatography, ballistics, glass reconstruction, counterfeit detection, fingerprint recovery and more!

Laboratory Safety: For the safety of all participants in our science laboratory, all students must wear long pants and closed shoes while participating in TELUS World of Science Lab Programs. Please, no skirts, shorts or sandals.

Mummies - Secrets of the Pharaohs 2D

Using archaeological discoveries and genetics data, researchers and explorers piece together clues from mummies to better understand the culture, religion, medicine and daily life of antiquity. Relics and bodies provide a window into the world of the pharaohs and -- by reconstructing the DNA -- scientists hope to better understand present-day genetics and to advance medical treatments.
